You, Me and Us.

Hello friends welcome to Novembers blog where I'm featuring again the LP's released in her life time. I admit my confusion in the listings. Hopefully I can correct that now by saying the second release 'Oliver' was in 1961. The LP she made with Billy Cotton was also released in 1961, which makes the LP featured last month 'How about Love' released in 1962 number four.

OLIVER: The Musical.

Extract from the cover notes: An exciting, hand-picked cast superbly directed ensures that this disc quickens Mr. Bart’s vision of Dickens well known, well-loved characters into vivid life. Alma Cogan as Nancy, the violent, vulgar, tormented mistress of the brutal Bill Sykes, brings unsuspected compassion and tremendous urge to some of the finest numbers in the show. She is particularly striking in ‘As Long As He Needs Me’ and ‘Om Pah Pah’ (Alma's solo tracks are: ‘It's a Fine Life’, ’As Long As He Needs Me’ and ‘Om Pah Pah’ with the Williams Singers.
